Backlit LED which isnt bright like the others. So I will need to know which wire on the dizzy is the signal wire for the tachometer|

THE other plug has one large pink conductor and one white conductor that is not connected to anything . A faulty ICP can cause a no-start, quit running, low power, or a few codes. It really depends on what is going on. If the ICP is not reading a high enough pressure, the PCM will try to compensate for it. If it is reading too high the PCM will try to regulate the pressure down. I have enclosed 2 pics. of the tach. the back connecter has a piglet wire that plugs into the tachometer prongs. with 2 seprate wires leading into the tach-plug-in-prongs can i assume that one of these wires acts as a ground and the other leads to the disributor cap?

Installing a resistor: Cut the green signal wire and connect one end of the resistor to the coil side and the other end of the resistor to the tacho side. X2. Not to mention all the sending units will bolt on easily, and the cluster is about 60 bucks at u-pull. You can also calibrate the gauges easily with a meter and a load, so if you don't trust them, you can either A. learn what they're really saying, or B. make them honest. Your tach probably needs the Tach Adapter. Copper tubing will work harden from the engines' vibration and crack. This is why gauges ship with white nylon plastic tubing, not because the plastic is cheaper. An aftermarket mechanical gauge will tell you the pressure in psi, not low or high.
